Uhh so this is wrong as far as alberta goes LLs can and do charge “pet rent” in Alberta.
It’s seen as a non refundable pet fee that is over and above the security deposit. It’s gone up to $50/dog and $25/cat per month. That’s an extra $900/year if you’ve got both a cat and a dog.
