Hi,
I just retired as of Jan.1/2020 and decided to take my CPP right away (I am 62 years of age). I have been called in to help out the company I retired from (through a contract company – Orion Group). It will be a short stint of one month, maybe two months. I will being paying into CPP while working. Can I claim those CPP contributions come tax time, or would I get a bump up in my CPP payments? Or what would happen (options?)?
I would appreciate your feedback on this issue.
Thank you,
Mark

Hello
I am 66 and I recently applied for OAS to start in October 2020
presently I am working and my earnings in 2019 was $86,000. Net due to vacation pay out but my normal Net income Is 77,000. I know I will fall into the clawback category and my OAS will be less than $616
My question: When I retire from working and my income is less than $50,000 would my OAS payments go up back to the $616. Monthly

Hi ..I’m guess up I’m looking for specific numbers as I understand about the rest. Having said that, I’m 61 and receiving $625 a month of CPP before taxes…I’m starting a full time job at $15 dollars an hour and would like to know if the combination will still be below any penalty thresholds?
Thanks for any info regarding my concerns.

Is there a limited amount of hours that we can work while we collect CPP between age 61-65 ?

Hi,
I am 83 yrs old. I am receiving Old age security and GIS. Last year, I decided to work part-time and earned $6000 (self-employed) How will this affect my old age security and GIS? And how is old age security calculated? Thank you.
