A new report says older and wealthier Canadians, as well as students and young couples without children, should invest in TFSAs. One reason the TFSA is ideal for younger Canadians is it is a more flexible way to save up for a home than dipping into RRSP savings, says the report from BMO Capital Markets. Meanwhile, TFSAs allow older Canadians to shelter even more money from taxes after they’ve maxed out their RRSP contributions.
