What is Express Entry?

Those who apply to Express Entry are assigned a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which includes factors such as age, education, work experience and language proficiency. 

Express Entry includes three streams:

• Federal Skilled Worker Program for skilled workers with international or Canadian work experience. Skilled workers include managers and supervisors, and people working in jobs that require a university degree, college diploma or apprenticeship training.
• Federal Skilled Trades Program for workers qualified in a skilled trade, such as transportation, construction, manufacturing and industrial, or natural resources and agriculture.
• Canadian Experience Class for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience.
