TFSA limits would be doubled, eventually.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper has promised to double the amount Canadians can save in a Tax Free Savings Account, increasing the current limit from $5,000 to $10,000 per year.
However, like the proposed income-splitting tax break this latest campaign promise wouldn’t take effect until after the federal budget has been balanced in 2015.
