In honor of Earth Day and all things green, The Bank of Montreal has come up with a number of tips for Canadians looking to invest in sustainable development mutual funds.
These funds, which allow you to select investments that play a part in the environment, can be beneficial for both your bank balance and the world around you. While some individuals view sustainability as a short-lived fad, experts are certain that it will continue to play an integral part in a number of companies — making it a very worthwhile investment to consider.
The bank has suggested the following tips for investors who are interested in sustainable funds: Do your research, don’t sacrifice your returns for the sake of the greater good, and stick with the program — don’t invest in sustainable funds if it means restructuring your entire investment portfolio.
