Hi Jason,
I have a rental property in Ontario and purchased with my funds, it was jointly owned for mortgage purposes, & is now mortgage free. I would like to remove my husbands name and include a beneficiary. What is the correct procedure?
Current market value is $400,000/- How much would I have to pay as capital gains now, and will it automatically go to my beneficiary and there would be no probate involved at my death time.
Please let me know, how I go about removing husband’s name and including beneficiary’s name and approx taxes I would have to pay now.
Thank you in advance.
